GROWING UP IN LIMBO
In the streets of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or in abandoned houses at the outskirts of the city, teenagers who migrated alone survive without access to basic supplies, health care or educational system.
‘LIMBO’ documents the story of young migrants who arrived alone by the Atlantic route to the Canary Islands and at the age of 18, they were left homeless, out of care system.
Moreover, most of them don’t have legal status to work or study in the country, so they cannot socialize through education or formal work.
Despite all the obstacles they have to face to find food, have a shower or get a sleep, and even if they are trapped in this outermost region of Europe, youth and friendship always find a way.
